Reading List

This is an all-time favorite FUN READ for me.  Myquillyn Smith embraces creativity, risky ideas, limited budgets, and most importantly, imperfection when it comes to decorating your home.  This was my personal takeaway: create your own art in your home, your art is unique to you so no need to compare, and the art in your home tells the story God has given you.

Myquillyn is the sister of Emily Freeman (see below). And yes, now I have two sisters (I'm the adopted one).  If you'd like to welcome imperfection in your home and find beauty in unseen places, grab ahold of this great book on Myquillyn's blog: The Nesting Place

I first "met" Emily Freeman shortly after I moved to Georgia in 2011 when I bought this book for a friend and said, "Hey, let's read this together!"  Little did I know this "Good Girl" (me) was working the "try-hard" life.  Since following her blog chatting at the sky, I have considered Emily a sister of mine because she writes about the exact same thoughts and experiences I have had, but she has had the courage to say it out loud.  Sometimes it feels like we came from the same womb. I'm thankful for Emily because she has given me the courage to write too!
